Father Gase April 30, 2021

My Dear Parishioners,

At the beginning of April the CDC clarified that the likelihood of COVID-19 being transmitted through physical touch is generally less than 1 in 10,000. Bearing this in mind I am pleased to announce another step in our return to normalcy here at Immaculate Conception: hymnals! Next weekend the red Worship hymnals will return to our pews. This will be the last weekend for the worship aid to be included in the bulletin. Please note, however, that the diocesan prayer and the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel will continue to be prayed. Perhaps at some point some volunteers could place these prayers inside the front or back covers of the hymnals? Let me know if you might be willing to help!

The jury is still out regarding holy water...stay tuned!

I have occasionally been approached regarding the wearing of masks in church. Just a friendly reminder that we are still under a statewide mask mandate! They are required in all public places including our church.

It's important to remember how far we've come. Just one year ago we still were not celebrating public Masses. Let us be grateful!

Please say a prayer of thanksgiving for our children who are receiving their First Holy Communion this weekend. May the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord truly nourish and sustain them for eternal life!

Father Gase
