Weekly Message from Father Gase

My Dear Parishioners,

Now that we've been in the season of Advent for one week our attention now turns toward Christmas. I've had a few folks ask about our Christmas Mass schedule this year. We will be having Mass at 4:30 pm and 10:00 pm Christmas Eve and 10:00 am Christmas Day. There will not be a 4:30 pm Saturday evening Mass on Christmas Day. Masses on Sunday December 26th will remain at 8:00 am and 10:30 am.

This coming Wednesday, December 8, is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception which is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am and 7:00 pm. Mass on Tuesday, December 7, will be at 8:30 am. There will not be Mass at 5:30 pm on Tuesday.

Wednesday December 22 will be our Advent Day of Grace. I will be available for confession at the top of the hour at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 7:00 pm. Please plan on coming and preparing your soul to greet the Christ Child at Christmas!

Finally, I regret to inform you that our business manager, Jean Schafer, has resigned in order to take the position of business manager at St. Joseph Parish in Marblehead. On a personal note I will very much miss her presence and friendship in the parish office. Please join me in wishing Jean the very best in her future and thanking her for everything she has done for us at Immaculate Conception!
