Jesus, however, called the children to himself and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child, will not enter it.”
Luke 18: 16-17
CCD Letter Parent Handbook CCD Calendar CCD Forms
Immaculate Conception Church offers a comprehensive religious education program (CCD) to support and assist parents in helping their children grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) is for students in grades 1-8 attending area public schools.
A relationship with Jesus Christ develops when children see it witnessed by their parents and the faith community. Faith formation is a lifelong journey. Our catechists have responded to God’s call to share this journey with parents, the primary educators of their children in the faith.
Our catechists, through weekly lessons, activities, and scripture, help children learn to know, love, and serve God.
Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, begin in Grade One with reception of the Sacraments in Grade Two.
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation begins in Grade Seven with candidates being confirmed in Grade Eight.
CCD classes are held at Immaculate Conception School on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 pm – 7:45 pm from September through the first week in May.
